POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Specialist will support BravoZulu’s HR operations from Canada, ensuring that our workforce is prepared, trained, and supported for both domestic and international assignments. This role involves end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, compliance with Canadian labour standards, and coordination of deployment readiness (medical, security, training).
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or quivalent corporate/field management experience.
3+ years of HR experience in recruitment, employee relations, or generalist functions.
Knowledge of Canadian labour law, HR standards, and best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Desirable:
CHRP/CHRL designation or working toward certification.
Experience in defence, security, humanitarian, or international deployment contexts.
Familiarity with federal government or defence contracting HR compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage full-cycle recruitment for Canadian and international roles, including posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Support pre-deployment preparations: medical clearances, security documentation, and travel arrangements.
Advise managers and staff on HR policies, Canadian employment law, and organizational practices.
Maintain HRIS records and personnel files with confidentiality and accuracy.
Coordinate training and professional development opportunities (HEAT, first aid, cultural awareness, etc.).
Provide employee relations support, including conflict resolution and performance management guidance.
Develop and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
Assist with payroll and benefits administration in cooperation with finance.
