POSITION OVERVIEW
The Capture & Business Development Manager will identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the defence and international development sectors. This role requires strong market awareness, proposal development skills, and relationship-building with government, military, and industry partners. The Manager will work closely with BravoZulu’s leadership to position the company for success in NATO and allied contracting opportunities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in business, international relations, defence studies, or related field.
3+ years’ experience in business development, capture management, or partnerships in defence, government contracting, or international projects.
Proven ability to develop win strategies and contribute to successful bids.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build credibility with government, military, and industry stakeholders.
Eligible for Government of Canada security clearance (Secret or higher).
Desirable:
Experience working with NATO/NSPA procurement systems and portals.
Familiarity with , defence acquisition, and international contracting processes.
Prior experience in proposal writing and compliance reviews.
Bilingualism (English/French); other NATO languages an asset.
Background in military, defence industry, or international development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and track business opportunities with CAF, DND, NATO, NSPA, UN, USAID, and allied organizations.
Lead capture planning: opportunity assessment, competitor analysis, win strategy development.
Build and maintain relationships with primes, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Support proposal development: drafting, compliance checks, pric, and submission coordination.
Represent BravoZulu at defence industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
Maintain and update business development trackers, CRM, and market intelligence databases.
Coordinate with project, finance, and HR teams to ensure readiness for bids and mobilization.
Provide regular briefings and reports to senior leadership on market trends and business pipeline.
