Military personnel monitoring data screens in a command centre.
Canadian defence company Calian Group has been awarded a five-year contract worth approximately C$47 million to continue providing scenario development support to the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. The award followed a competitive procurement process and extends Calian’s long-standing relationship with the JWC.
What the contract covers
Calian will support the design, development and maintenance of the complex training scenarios behind NATO’s strategic and operational-level exercises. These scenarios blend political, military, economic, civil and information factors that evolve throughout an exercise, so commanders and staff must make decisions and coordinate across domains in conditions that reflect today’s security environment. Calian already serves as a prime contractor at the JWC and provides subject matter expertise for these exercises.
Why it matters
The JWC is a key part of NATO’s collective training enterprise, preparing NATO headquarters and forces for current and future operations. Realistic scenarios are what turn exercises into real readiness, because they test how well allied forces plan, coordinate and sustain operations together. The award also shows continued demand for Canadian expertise in allied training, simulation and exercise support across Europe.
The Bravo Zulu perspective
Readiness is built long before a deployment. It depends on realistic training, dependable planning and a support chain that holds up under pressure. As procurement and logistics expectations rise across Europe and Canada, the standard for military support rises with them.
For military support, contact Bravo Zulu. Behind every successful mission is a supply chain and a support team that perform when it counts, and operational excellence is the standard we hold on every engagement.
