Bravo Zulu Mission Support (BZ), the international support arm of Dexterra, marked significant progress in strengthening its operational capabilities and strategic partnerships during a productive visit to Kyiv. Led by Murray Dawes, the visit aimed to bolster existing relationships, establish new connections, and solidify BZ’s position as a leading Canadian-owned operational presence in Ukraine.

The week commenced with senior-level discussions at the Canadian Embassy, attended by Murray Dawes, Bravo Zulu’s Roberto Hernandez, Canadian Ambassador Natalka Cmoc, and Peter Cahill from Global Affairs Canada. Ambassador Cmoc expressed strong enthusiasm for Bravo Zulu’s active Canadian presence and ongoing operations, committing to amplify awareness of BZ’s contributions in preparation for NATO-aligned infrastructure and support services.

Throughout the week, Bravo Zulu representatives held several crucial meetings with local businesses, highlighting the organization's strategic approach to collaboration.

In Kyiv, Bravo Zulu strengthened ties across multiple sectors:

  • BZ team met with a prominent local construction firm specializing in light industrial and premanufactured buildings, discussing opportunities to rapidly scale infrastructure projects critical to Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.

  • Murray Dawes investigated scalling laundry operations of a Kyiv-based wash n’ fold service provider, assessing capabilities to efficiently meet increased operational demands.

  • Roberto Hernandez and Murray Dawes evaluated strategic locations for warehousing and laydown facilities, selecting sites well-positioned relative to downtown Kyiv to optimize logistics and operational efficiency.

  • Kateryna Rochniak, BZ’s Field Operations Manager, facilitated communications between Murray Dawes and a major local food services and catering provider, laying groundwork for essential operational support.

  • Murray reviewed detailed engineering documentation with a local Ukrainian design firm, ensuring alignment of Bravo Zulu’s strategic objectives with local expertise and compliance standards.

  • Further, Murray Dawes engaged with representatives from a private security company in Kyiv, exploring partnership opportunities to enhance operational security and readiness in the region.

These engagements underscore Bravo Zulu’s commitment to leveraging local expertise and fostering long-term strategic partnerships to support Ukraine’s stabilization and reconstruction. The visit successfully positioned Bravo Zulu as a trusted, capable, and operationally ready partner, dedicated to delivering excellence and strengthening Canada’s role on the global stage.
