ABOUT US

BravoZulu is a Canadian mission-support company delivering logistics, infrastructure, fleet, and personnel services for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), NATO, and allied organizations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Security Manager will lead BravoZulu’s security program across deployed operations. This role ensures compliance with Canadian, DND, and NATO security requirements while protecting personnel, information, and facilities. The Security Manager will coordinate closely with CAF/NATO force protection units and host-nation authorities to implement risk mitigation, incident response, and security training programs.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Canadian citizenship (mandatory for deployment). 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, International Relations, or related discipline. 

  • 5+ years of experience in security management, including at least 3 years in international or hostile environments. 

  • Knowledge of physical security systems, risk management, and emergency planning. 

  • Proven ability to work with military, government, or defence contractors. 

  • Eligible for Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance (or higher).

Desirable:

  • Professional certifications (CPP – Certified Protection Professional, PSP – Physical Security Professional, or equivalent). 

  • Prior experience with CAF, DND, NATO, or UN missions. 

  • Knowledge of CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) protective measures. 

  • Military police, law enforcement, or private security background. 

  • Bilingualism (English/French).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Program Development

  • Establish and oversee BravoZulu’s Security Management System for deployed operations.

  • Conduct risk assessments, security surveys, and threat analyses. 

  • Develop access control, perimeter defence, and surveillance procedures.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with DND, NATO, and host-nation security directives.

  • Maintain audit-ready security documentation and SOPs.

  • Implement ISO 31030 (Travel Risk Management) and duty-of-care best practices

Incident & Crisis Management

  • Lead incident investigations and prepare security reports

  • Maintain and test emergency response and evacuation plans.

  • Act as primary point of contact during security incidents.

Training & Awareness

  • Deliver pre-deployment security training (HEAT, personal security, cultural awareness).

  • Train staff and subcontractors access control, incident reporting, and emergency procedures.

  • Promote a culture of security across multinational teams. 

Coordination & Liaison

  • Liaise with CAF, NATO, host-nation authorities, and private security providers.

  • Provide intelligence updates and situational awareness briefings. 

  • Support integration of BravoZulu operations into wider force protection frameworks.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise security staff and subcontracted guards. - Manage vetting, background checks, and credentialing of personnel.
