POSITION OVERVIEW
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading BravoZulu’s procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and compliance with Canadian, DND, NATO procurement standards. This role ensures that BravoZulu acquires goods and services efficiently, ethically, and in full compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or .
3+ years of experience in procurement or contract management, preferably in defence, government, or international contracting.
Strong knowledge of Canadian public sector procurement standards and practices.
Experience drafting and evaluating RFPs/RFQs, negotiating contracts, and managing suppliers.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Eligible for Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
Desirable:
SCMA (Supply Chain Management Association) designation or equivalent.
Experience with NATO/NSPA or UN procurement frameworks.
Prior work with DND, CAF, or other defence contracting organizations.
Knowledge of export/import compliance and ITAR-controlled items.
Bilingualism (English/French).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement procurement strategies to support BravoZulu projects and deployments.
Conduct market research, identify suppliers, and maintain approved vendor lists.
Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFPs, RFQs, and tenders in compliance with DND and NATO requirements.
Contract Management
Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and client standards.
Track contract performance, deliverables, and timelines.
Coordinate contract closeout, renewals, and amendments.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to Canadian and client-specific requirements.
Maintain audit-ready documentation for procurement actions.
Enforce BravoZulu’s ethical procurement practices and conflict-of-interest policies.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
Monitor supplier performance, conduct evaluations, and implement corrective actions as required.
Collaborate with project managers, finance, logistics, and supply chain teams to align procurement with operational needs.
Reporting & Controls
Maintain procurement trackers and dashboards for leadership oversight.
Provide regular updates on procurement status, risks, and savings.
Support proposal teams with cost and vendor commitments.
