BravoZulu is a Canadian mission-support company delivering logistics, infrastructure, fleet, and personnel services for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), NATO, and allied organizations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Manager will lead BravoZulu’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems, infrastructure, and services comply with DND, CAF, Government of Canada information security requirements. The IT Manager will oversee IT operations in Canada and support deployed missions, ensuring interoperability with CAF/NATO partners, secure handling of classified information, and compliance with federal IT policies.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Essential: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.

  • 3+ years of experience in IT management, with emphasis on cybersecurity, network administration, and compliance.

  • Experience working with classified or protected information systems under Government of Canada or DND frameworks. 

  • Knowledge of Government of Canada IT policies, standards, and guidelines (e.g., ITSG-33, GC Cyber Security Strategy). 

  • Proven ability to design, secure, and manage networks for distributed and deployed teams. 

  • Eligible for Government of Canada Secret (Level II) Security Clearance or higher. 

Desirable: 

  • Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft/AWS certifications). 

  • Experience supporting CAF, DND, NATO, or allied defence organizations. 

  • Familiarity with NATO Cyber Defence standards and secure interoperability requirements. 

  • Prior experience with IT in deployed or austere environments. 

  • Bilingualism (English/French).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic IT Leadership

  • Develop and maintain BravoZulu’s IT strategy aligned with DND and NATO cyber standards. 

  • Oversee IT infrastructure in Canada and provide support to deployed operations.

Cybersecurity & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with Government of Canada IT security policies (e.g., ITSG-33, GC Cyber Security Strategy). 

  • Maintain security controls for classified and protected information. 

  • Develop incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.

Systems & Network Management 

  • Manage secure networks, servers, and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS). 

  • Implement access controls, firewalls, encryption, and monitoring tools in line with DND baselines. 

  • Oversee secure communications for deployed personnel (VPNs, satellite systems, mobile security). 

Project & Operational Support

  • Provide IT compliance inputs for tenders, contracts, and client audits.

  • Ensure deployed IT solutions meet operational requirements in austere environments.

  • Manage IT procurement, vendor contracts, and technology lifecycle. 

Team Development & Awareness

  • Train staff cyber hygiene and classified information handling. 

  • Supervise IT staff and ensure knowledge transfer.
